June 12-14 Port Townsend Boating and RV Casual Cruise
Please note: This cruise is subject to cancellation per Governor Inslee’s and/or Port Townsend’s directives.
Because we will be a very visible presence in Port Townsend, and we are representing the Edmonds Yacht Club, we will be erring on the side of caution to be respectful and careful while visiting the town. Our intent is to leave a good impression.
Manners, courtesy and civility never go out of style. In this time of crisis, they are needed more than ever -- that’s why we are following a careful cruising approach while emerging from the pandemic.
If you are not comfortable with established COVID-19 safety practices and social distancing during this cruise, please consider waiting for a future cruise when we will be further along in the phased opening of the State.
This casual cruise for both boaters and RVers.
No food and beverages will be provided by the club -- please provision your boat with everything you'll need for the weekend. Also note: We will not have our normal Saturday potluck dinner this year due to COVID-19 social distancing restrictions.
During this cruise, please be prepared to:
- Use the main docks and ramps for back-and-forth traveling only -- please visit each other on land or any other place where you can find appropriate distance for visiting.
- Refrain from going on a crowded dock or boat ramp. Be sure to verbalize your intentions if you need to get past anyone. Step onto a finger pier to let people go by if needed.
- Wear your face mask when you are on the docks/ramps, and when you are interacting with local businesses and residents.
RV registration instructions:
First, contact the marina directly to reserve an RV spot (360-385-2828). After you have secured a spot with the marina, register here on our EYC site so we can include you in the cruise planning. Please put “RV” in the Boat Name” section, and add your phone number and email.
But RVers please note: If Pt. Hudson marina needs to cancel your reservation due to a city/state COVID closure directive, you will lose your $11 deposit.
Boater registration instructions:
Do not contact the marina for a slip -- EYC already has most of the marina reserved. Register here and we will assign slips. You will pay for your night(s) when you arrive. Here is the information we need from you when you sign up:
- Captain’s name
- Boat name
- Boat length overall (LOA) and Beam (be honest with your LOA -- include pulpit, swim step, dinghy overhang, etc)
- Home address, Phone number, email
- Any special slip requests? (For example: Do you need 50 amp power? Do you prefer stern in/starboard tie?)
- Are you planning to arrive early (before Friday) or stay later (Sunday or after)?
