2013 Commodore’s Cruise

Saturday, July 6^th – Sunday, July 14^th

^{This extended cruise is a great chance to begin, or build on, friendships while doing what we all love – cruising the amazing waters of the Pacific Northwest.}

^{There will be several meetings to plan meals & activities, discuss US & Canada Customs,}

^{review charts, rafting and anchoring how-to’s, and all the other details.}

^{As a casual cruise, each boat is responsible for their own expenses (moorage, fuel, meals, etc…) and contacting the marina for moorage reservations. Let them know you’re with EYC.}

^{Here’s the itinerary}^:

^{Saturday, July 6th}^{– set out from the Fourth of July Cruise at Lopez Islander Marina in Fisherman Bay, check in with customs at Poet’s Cove and spend the first night at the resort’s marina. They’re arranging transportation for us to the local grocery & liquor stores to provision your boat for the week.}

^{Sunday & Monday, July 7 & 8- Montague Harbour, Galiano Island}^{– raft up and anchor out (fun!!) or tie up to their docks. Galiano has scooters, the Hummingbird Pub, a wall-sized mural created by dozens of artists, an amazing view of Active Pass (where the orcas regulary cruise by) beautiful sunsets (guaranteed) and ice cream!}

^{Tuesday & Wednesday, July 9 & 10 – Telegraph Harbour Marina, Thetis Island}^{– one of the best hideaways in the Gulf Islands – home-made breads & pies, an honor store with local goods, a foot ferry to Chemanis for shopping, great dinghy-ing, and an open-air burgee room for a pot-luck – and ice cream.}

^{Thursday, July 11th – Genoa Bay, Vancouver Island –}^{another beautiful location in a small secluded cove, an award winning restaurant, a great store, and a very nice gallery.}

^{Friday & Saturday, July 12th & 13th – Roche Harbor Marina, San Juan Island –}^{check back in with US Customs, and enjoy the many, many aspects of Roche Harbor: market, store, bike rentals, kayaking, crabbing, tennis, swimming, hiking, an outdoor sculpture garden and much more.}

^{Sunday, July 12th}^{– Sail for home….or not}
