Rental use policy

The person signing the Rental Application and Agreement as Person Responsible for Rental must be at the Edmonds Yacht Club during all times the Rental Event is in progress.

A non-refundable reservation deposit will be required to reserve the clubhouse. The amount shall be $300., or an amount equal to the Rental Rate, whichever is less.

All fees, including a $300. security deposit, must be received at least 60 days prior to the rental date.

The security Deposit is fully refundable if there is no damage or loss of property, the room is cleaned, all tables and chairs are replaced to their original location and all EYC Clubhouse Rules have been followed.

After each event, the renter shall do the following:
1. Tables are to be cleared and cleaned.
2. All of Renter's decorations shall be removed.
3. Dishes, glasses, flatware and cooking utensils are to be scraped, rinsed clean and stacked
  on the galley counter.
4. Carpet is to be vacuumed.
5. Garbage and debris is to be placed in a proper dumpster.
6. Otherwise...the clubhouse is to be left in the same condition as it was found.

Burgees, pictures, plaques, notices, awards and other Edmonds Yacht Club decorations shall not be moved or covered. The EYC Rental Agent is authorized to remove the pictures on the East wall if requested to do so by a Renter.

Renter is responsible for abiding by the rules of the Washington State Liquor Control Board and/or Gambling Commission and must obtain all required state permits.

Renter will be responsible for any and all accidents or damage caused directly or indirectly by the serving of alcoholic beverages.

All alcoholic beverages served in the clubhouse must remain inside the clubhouse. No renter or guest shall take any beverage outside.

No Beer Kegs are allowed.

Smoking in the clubhouse is prohibited.

The clubhouse must be closed by 1:00am. Everything brought in by the Renter (decorations, tablecloths, etc.) must be removed at the end of the function and prior to the clubhouse closing time.

Use of the gas range and dishwasher is restricted to authorized personnel. Permission to use club glassware, flatware, dishes, etc., must be specified in the Rental Agreement. There is an additional fee for their use.

Music, whether live or taped, shall end no later than midnight. The volume will be monitored. Renters shall lower the volume if requested by the Edmonds Yacht Club or by a Port of Edmonds Security Officer.

In the event renters fail to comply with a request to reduce the volume or control some other behavior, all Edmonds Yacht Club Bridge Officers and Port of Edmonds Security Officers are authorized to terminate the function and order everyone to leave the premises. If that should occur, the Security Deposit shall not be refunded.

The clubhouse may not be used for any purpose not in accordance with the Edmonds Yacht Club bylaws.

Tables must be picked up and moved, not dragged across the floor. Round tables may be rolled on the carpet surface.

No decorations are to be nailed, tacked, taped or applied with adhesive to painted surfaces. Tape is not to be applied to tables or chairs.

No candles over 12" in height above standard table tops are allowed.

The Edmonds Yacht Club is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

Edmonds Yacht Club reserves the right to cancel a reservation at any time due to emergency situations including, but not limited to, power outage, fire, flood, or an Act of God.

Unused tables and chairs are to be stored in the Northwest corner of the clubroom. Tables and chairs are not to be taken out of the clubhouse.

The Security Deposit shall not be refunded if any of the Clubhouse Rules and Rental Policy are violated.
